Jacques asked: The victim was named Jane
Macrae. There is a gravesite
marker in Ft. Edward,NY and also a painting that was done in the 1800’s on the incident in
posession of a museum.. I am attempting to write a historical fiction novel with my version of what actually happened as the murder was never solved. I first became aware of it from a
documentary on the Histtory Channel. I contacted them but they say unless I can tell them the date and time it was aired, which I do not have,they cannot help me. I know accounts were published in the newspapes of the time but have no idea how to access copies which I am sure must exist somewhere Although a member of The
Mystery Writers of America,I am not a professional author and can use all the help I can get.
Anyone iout there interested in furnishing information or collaberating with me ?
